Portrayed By: Pete Wentz (no shit sherlock)
Personality:
Pete often has a sarcastic sense of humor, and more often than not he's the one making fun of himself. Pete has come to find that laughing at himself is the best way to cure a problem that he has. Pete can be very sarcastic at times, and rarely shy. He finds it easy to make friends and the friendships that he has are quite diverse. He is friends with people such as Kanye West and Jay-Z, and also people like Tyson Ritter and Mikey Way. Pete has a lot of beliefs with things, and he absolutely hates it when people use the word 'gay' inappropraitely, so much so that a song on Fall Out Boy's next albumwas considered to be titled 'Gay Is Not A Synomn For Shitty'.
He grew up in the Chicago hardcore scene, and like many other people that came from there he is straight-edge, meaning that he doesn't drink any alcohol, he doesn't smoke and he doesn't have any kind of casual sex. Many people ask him about groupies and the such, but Pete would never dream of doing anything like that. For a short of amount of time he was vegan like his bandmate Andy Hurley but has since gone back to eating meat and diary products.
Some may call Pete slightly unhinged due to how emotional he can seem given his blogs on the band website and also his blogspot. After his incident with the Ativan he started to see a physciatrist, and he believes that is definitely helping him. He has an on-off girlfriend called Jeanae who he recently split with. A lot of Pete's lyrics are written about her, and she's been described as 'Fall Out Girl'. A lot of the times that Pete is down is due to something that as happened in his daily life, and he was extremely upset when Jeanae left.
Pete has had an ongoing war of words with the singer of The Killers, Brandon Flowers, which he seems to have accidently dragged Panic! at the Disco into. He has been asked once or twice if it was a publicity stunt, and he's often commented on how he wishes it was. He's very protective over Panic! at the Disco as they are extremely young to be in the music industry and he's often fretting about them and calling them at all hours of the day to see how everything is going. He is pretty sure they'll be able to to stand their own ground when Brandon chooses to aim a comment directly at them. Pete thinks it ridiculous but he just can't help but make comments about it, which can sometimes be reported accurately and other times his words can be twisted.
He hates it when his words are twisted and the media make him out to be over his head or something. He respects AbsolutePunk.net a great a deal and even thanked them in 'From Under The Cork Tree' and 'Take This To Your Grave'. He knows whatever happens he can trust AbsolutePunk.net to report what he's said to them accurately. He is more than happy to do an interview with the webzine as he knows he can trust them not to twist his words around like other magazines will do. Pete is slowly beginning to lose his faith in the media, hence the reason he likes to have blogs so fans can see his his true feelings on something.
Pete is very talkative, and has quite a bad habit of cutting across his own band mates when they are talking. He always has something to talk about and can find something he has in common with just about everyone he ever meets. He can seem a little rude at times, but the thing is Pete doesn't actually get a lot of sleep. He used to take Ativan to help him get to sleep but since the incident he's found it harder and harder to sleep. Pete is fairly insecure about everything, knowing that if he makes a wrong move then the media will make a big hype out of it. He's often really not happy in his own body.
Pete often makes funny faces in pictures, especially ones that go on the front of magazines. When asked why he does this he says that he hopes that people will read the article inside because of the picture on the front and then see through the pictures and read between the lines to what he's really saying. It sometimes annoys him, and the rest of the band, that he gets the most attention out of all of them. More often than not Joe, Andy and Patrick and more than happy to take a backseat to everything, Patrick once said that he lets Pete be the front man because Pete can usually say what Patrick's thinking quicker and better than Patrick can. However, sometimes magazines focus on Pete too much and forget to give the other three in the band credit. Pete admits this is somewhat his fault, but the media really has taken it to unbelievable lengths.

History:
Pete Wentz was born in Wilmette, Illinois, to rather wealthy parents who lived in a fairly nice house. He attended North Shore Country Day School in Chicago and graduated in New Trier in 1997. In New Trier he was an all-state soccer player, and was attending DePaul university, majoting in Political Science. He dropped out one semester before he graduated from the university.
He spent a lot of his time playing hardcore bands around then, meeting Joe Trohman in his band before Fall Out Boy, Arma Angelus. When that band split Joe and him, both tired of playing in the hardcore scene decided to form another band but this time they'd be playing a complete 360 degree turn on the music they were used to playing. Joe met a boy at a bookstore whilst discussing the band Neurosis, and asked him to join the band, and their band, still nameless, had found themselves a singer and guitarist. After some auditions they settled on Andy Hurley as their drummer.
During a show the band asked the audience what they should be called, and someone shouted out to them 'Fall Out Boy', and thus the name for the band was concieved. The band then released a three song demo CD, and then a split EP with Project Rocket which quickly found it's way into the hands of potiental record labels. Fall out Boy finally signed with Fueled By Ramen, and not long after they released 'Take This To Your Grave'. They toured with bands such as Taking Back Sunday, Spitalfield and Less Than Jake, and even played at the Warped tour.
They then released another album entitled 'From Under The Cork Tree' on Island records, breaking through into the mainstream. They were very successful, and although the rest of the band seemed to take a backseat on everything Pete went on to become the 'front man' for the band, and where as the lead singer is usually front-man their vocalist, Patrick Stump(h), was only too happy to let Pete be the front man. However, problems started to occur.
In February of 2005 Pete took an overdose of Ativan, an anxiety medication, and was rushed to hospital. He spent a week in the hospital and missed a tour with his band, who told their fans he was suffering from food poisioning. Fall Out Boy weren't informed of Pete's overdose untill a little while later. Pete refuses to to call the whole ordeal a suicide attempt and refers to it more of wanting to shut himself off from the world. However, this wasn't the end to his problems.
In 2005 Pete created the record label DecayDance, which was an imprint of Fueled By Ramen. The band Panic! at the Disco were signed quite quickly as well as other bands such as Gym Class Heroes, The Hush Sound and October Fall.
In March 2006 nude photos of Pete were leaked onto the internet. At first Pete didn't believe they were there untill he was informed by Dan Suh, his manager. The incident resulted in pete having a minor car crash and wanting to leave the band. However, his band talked him around and he agreed to stay. Not long after he had a public fued with his friend 'HeyChris'.
Fall Out Boy are due to start recording their third album in L.A and Pete has now brought a house over there. He had a housewarming party on the day off of Warped tour and had his friends attend. Armor For Sleep and The Academy Is... attended, as well as his friend Bonnie Dillard who works for Clandestine and is also Armor For Sleep's manager. Also attending was his friend and band mate, Patrick Stump. Many fans did not recieve the news that Pete had moved to L.A very well.
Not long after his move into his house in L.A with his girlfriend Jeanae the two of them split up. They had brought a puppy called Hemingway together and Jeanae went back to Chicago, leaving Pete and Hemingway behind. Fall Out boy are now officially back in the studios recording their third album after a delay. In July 2006 Pete done charity work with a children's charity called Children Uniting Nations, and was asked by the Dodgers to throw out the first pitch in the game on the 29th of July. The charity is based around helping children express their views on the status of the world. Pete has expressed an interest in doing a lot more charity work.
