Satoru Fujiitaka (Fujii)
Age::
18 [9/11/88]
Reason for attending festival:
In his home country, Japan, Fujii spent a lot of his time looking for a band – for someone to play music with and spread his message – even placed adverts in various shop and music stores. After being rejected by various bands and being unable to find anyone to play with, he was all but about to give up when he stumbled on an advert for the Festival. This was his chance. His chance to find a band, to make himself heard – the fact that it was being held in America wasn’t going to stop him.
Picture of your character:
Personality:
On the outside, Fujii is a relatively normal teen. He is easy to talk to and most of the time is bright and bubbly. Sometimes he comes across as childish because of his personality. He has a tendency to get lost easily and also to do rash things –such as go swimming in rivers in the winter – friends have likened his attitude to that of a high school girl at times. But don’t let this fool you. He is a highly dedicated and belief driven person. He also knows how to stand up for what he believes in. If he wants something he will keep trying until he gets it. His motto in life is ‘if you want something then keep trying –giving up means losing your dream.
Despite everything though, Fujii is not the person he seems to be. Because of his childhood, which was pretty messed up putting it bluntly, he has put up a barrier which, rather than keep people out, keeps him in. Family and the scars on his arms and chest are taboo – mention them to him and it can induce a deep depression.
Anger is not something Fujii directs at other much – usually his self instead – but when he does it’s always a serious matter. He tends to be highly protective of his friends and if they are harmed he will stick up for them –to the point that if need be he’ll get violent. This tends to be the only instance in which he’ll really get angry.
Also due to his past, Fujii has developed a split personality, which stays with him even though the worst for him has passed. His other personality is the personification of hyper. When he’s like this he tends to consume copious amounts of sugar, if it is not fluorescent or has a sugar content high enough to send any normal person into a diabetic coma it shall not pass his lips. Fortunately relapses are generally uncommon but when they happen they can last for days on end.
Boredom is something which can be a serious problem with Fujii. When bored, he can be found doing the most random things – including cooking random concoctions that tend not to be edible despite him being a decent cook or more often that not, taking photographs of anything and everything.
Fujii is driven by his dream to become a world famous star and he won’t give up until he gets there.

Sample Post:
He wasn’t entirely sure why he’d come all the way here from Japan; why on earth he wanted to go to the other side of the world just to play music. A side of the world full of people he didn’t know: people that weren’t Japanese. But then the festival – what was it they called it? He couldn’t remember. The name was in English and his grasp on the language was still… well it wasn’t the greatest in the world.
Anyway! The festival. It was world famous and he had wanted to try it out. Music had been his escape route for so long he had finally decided to make something out of it and since no-one he knew in Japan was interested he knew he had to leave, had to get out there and do something or he’d die old and wrinkled and ugly! Beside, if he left Japan, he was getting away from him.
There was a cool, scented breeze and it reminded him of his home town, Kyoto; of climbing to the temples to pray in the morning; of sitting under the sakura and drinking cold green tea and eating odango his mother and he had made together with his friends. A smile pulled at his lips as he wandered through the millions of gravestones. It was strange here, the stones that represented death carved with band names. He didn’t understand it, not really. The dead were meant to be respected, at least in Japan they were, and to carve your name – or a bands name – onto a stone such as these, it was slightly disgusting in his opinion.
A soft sigh and he climbed up the hill, humming softly to himself and nudging his guitar case up his back. Either way, if he liked it or not, he needed a band. And maybe, just maybe fate was on his side, since as he came up the hill his eyes fell on someone. He wasn’t entirely sure if they would pay any attention to him what so ever but it was always worth a try right? Not all foreigners were going to be bad… right?
“Sumimasen!” Ah! This wasn’t Japan anymore, people here didn’t speak Japanese. He paused beside the person, racking his brain for the right words in English, his foot tapping and finger waving in a circle in the air. “Excuse me!!!” He finally said, his words slurred together strangely, his Japanese accent strong, smiling brightly at the girl.
