fall is here hear the yell back to school ring the bell brand new shoes walking blues to be fun. Pete owed Patrick so very much, and nothing could ever do would make up for all that. Pete was just hoping that this would show a small token of appreciation, and not just from him but from everyone else who Patrick had helped and been friends with. Even if he didn't like it, tonight the spotlight would be on Patrick, even if he despised to the point where he wanted to leave. Pete looked around for Brodie, and then he sighed again. Everyone had seemingly patched up their differences, after Brodie had hit Pete and he'd disappeared, they'd made friends again. It was weird, he'd known her for about two weeks and they had been the longest two weeks of his life. Things seemed to be looking up for all of them though, which was always a good thing. Pete was ready to start seeing the sun inside his head again, as peculiar as that sounded. Pete was ready to start having fun again, ready to start playing music and getting all his energy out on stage. Everything seemed to be fitting itself together again, like a very broken jigsaw puzzle. Pete sighed, looking at his watch, Patrick was rarely late, in comparision to Pete he was actually quite punctual. Pete was supposed to have been at Bowlmor at four o'clock, but had arrived at five and had been rushing around finding everyone. When my parents outta town, I got all my buddies round, So we gonna have a party tonight
She whispered. "Fucking meeting went on forever." She told him with a smile and a slight roll of the eyes. "You know what lawyers are like." She said just as quietly before losing her balance slightly from the fact she was in an odd position, she bumped her elbow of the table behind them and hissed before rubbing her elbow and pouting slightly. "Fucking table hit me." She whispered in disbelief. Well she just hoped her clumsiness didn't show up tonight. Brodie was forever bumping in to things and knocking things over when she was sober, yes it would be fun to see her bowling. [/blockquote][/ul] And if your daddy's got the truck Then I'll come and pick you up And anyone who wants to go for a ride

SHOULD I OFFER UP MY HAND AND SAVE A WISH FOR ONCE, FOR ALL OF US
Patrick sat in the tour bus, alone, eyes fixated on the ceiling as he laid on the couch. Mind blank, he folded his arms behind his head, his hat pushing upward to block his vision. Pete had made it clear to meet him at the bowling alley, and for some strange reason, Patrick really didn't want to go. With a sigh he stood up, pulling his hat down on his head and shifting it to a comfortable position. Gracelessly he swiped his keys off the table and shut the tour bus door behind him as he nonchalantly made his way across the parking lot. No specific destination, just.. anywhere. Upon snapping back to reality he glanced down, standing next to the car door, his fingers pulling the handle. Another sigh heaved his chest and he climbed in, stabbing the key into the ignition and turning it. Music from the radio emitted from the speakers, and before even putting the car in to gear he spun the volume level to "OFF", then shifted and hit the gas pedal with his foot. Happy Birthday? He'd nearly forgotten his own birthday at first. For some strange reason the thought just didn't appeal to him today. Make it another day. Reschedule a birthday. Make it tomorrow, or maybe the next, perhaps forget about it completely for one year.
He scowled, eyebrows furrowing as he glanced down at the speedometer. He swallowed hard, the bright orange arrow quickly climbing to the 90 mark. Eyes wavered from the window, back to the road, watching the world rip by him as he sped. It was strange that no other cars were around, or perhaps it was some sort of strange sign. Maybe a flashing red light screaming don't kill yourself kid. Patrick eased off the gas, quickly slowing the car down, eyes searching for the Bowlmor Lanes sign. He swallowed hard, pulling the car into the parking lot, carelessly pulling into a space and turning the car off. He pulled his keys out, staring at the steering wheel, gripping it tightly. Patrick took a few deep breaths before getting out of the car, then slowly made his way to the bowling lane front doors. He twirled his keys on his fingers then shoved them into his vest pocket before opening the door. A few steps in, and he squinted his eyes, his eyes trying to adjust to the darkness. "Hello?" His voice wavered a bit and he took a step forward. Was Pete actually here? Patrick blinked a few times, glancing around the darkness of the bowling alley. "Uh..." Okkay... Little weird...

William, of course, showed up for Patrick's party. Patrick had done so much for The Academy Is... - not to mention a lot of other people - so it seemed fitting that he was here. The rest of the band members would come later, or so they said. It just all depended if they could get up at five o'clock in the afternoon. Didn't seem likely, especially since they had pulled an all-nighter. The way William knew that? Well, they had woken him up about six times; once to prank him, then the other five were just them being too loud. Of course, he was never, ever pleased to be woken up, especially in the middle of the night, and after some snappy curses they eventually quieted down. They knew William wasn't happy when he was woken up, therefore he hadn't heard much of anything from them the rest of the night. But, upon having random thoughts while trying to go back to sleep, he realized one thing: he had no idea what to get Patrick for his birthday. Shit. He could try to be funny, and get him some pornos as a joke, but he was absolutely certain that Patrick probably wouldn't think it funny. Nah, he'd wait until Pete's birthday... So, after mulling it over again and again, he finally just decided on a hat, something he knew Patrick would like quite a bit. And so, after sleeping for a bit longer (till noon, actually), he set out shopping. After debating over many things, he decided on a plain and simple green hat, though what Patrick would wear with it he had no clue. Also it was sort of.. bright. Not neon, but somewhere inbetween. He had gotten a bag and some tissue paper and had used that. He was tempted to just give money to Patrick and let him do as he pleased, but William didn't have much to spare, plus the hat was on sale...
William yawned, drumming his fingers on a bottled water, a rather habitual thing. The rest of The Academy Is... hadn't arrived yet, so he got out his Sidekick and selected Mike's name. Argh, where are you guys? The party isn't just going to wait for you, you know. And I really do think you ought to come. He sent it and waited, knowing he was probably going to be waking Mike up, but he didn't particularly care. He stared at the water blankly, blocking out the sounds around him, well, up until he felt someone bang against the table, and he lifted his head, confused. He smiled when he noticed who it was. "You know, Brodie, maybe if you treat the table with a little more respect it will treat you the same way," William smirked. His Sidekick let out a little tune, signifying he had a text message. He hit a button and it came up. Will, I haven't bowled since I was eight. William smirked. He quickly sent a response: Yeah, well, it's been even longer for me. Get your asses down here, I already covered a gift and shit. As he was slipping the Sidekick into one of his pockets he smiled, hearing Patrick's familiar voice. He got up, running towards the front of the building and switching on a light, jumping in front of Patrick and yelling, "SURPRISE! HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY!" He grinned widely. Oh lord, anyone who witnessed this would probably think William has earned himself a trip to the asylum. Well, if you think that way, make it a Florida one, ah?

And if you want to help me drink, There's some bottles by the sink, There'll twenty thousand people inside. You know that everybody likes to party on a Saturday night!
She told him in a light whisper but still that sarcastic edge lingered on her words. Tables were the enemy tonight. She had already walked in to the table on the Fall Out Boy bus that morning, hips and tables were not meant to be friends. Ever. Together they created pain that could cripple you, despite any one high pain threshold. Clumsiness was something that Brodie had always possessed, she was always getting bumps and scraped from falling over something or bumping in to something else and to tell the truth that was how most of the stuff she broke on stage got broke. She would fling herself around wildly and end up crashing in to stuff. Though on most occasions it was what ever inanimate object she crashed in to that came off worse. Unfortunately on numerous occasions that was usually her bass. On one occasion she even manged to knock a tuning head clean off, edge of amp vs bass was never pretty. Though, however, tables were starting to become the worst offenders. She fell silent with the rest, she smirked at the thought of Patrick's face when he realized what the hell was going on. Oh it would provide laughs for many a month to come. Party's were events that Brodie really liked, not the sort of party where everyone was drunk and high, no these sort of party's where everyone was hyper and excited. They were the best. It felt weird though, to be at a party and not be drunk or getting drunk. But in many ways she was glad. Meant she was strong enough to stick to her guns. Setting down on the floor she slipped her hand in to her pocket and pulled out her new phone, Brodie had always hated this certain model mostly because she could never figure out how the hell to work it. Looking at she had a new text, though lord only knew how the hell she was meant to read it. She frowned and finally managed to work it out, that was while she cursed under her breath in an almost inaudible whisper; "Fucking phone, fucking work you piece of shit." There had only been one reason she had bought this delightful SideKick phone, the nice free contract that came with it. Messing about with it she paused, looked at the screen, and suddenly felt like snapping the thing in half. "Oh shit...it's in Greek, my phone turned its self Greek, how do I fix it?" She asked with that air of almost stupidity. How she had managed to change the language setting was beyond her. Technology was beyond poor Brodie full stop. She was about to say something else when the door opened and she promptly shut up. A smirk worked its way across her lips, and she was about to follow Williams example only this time instead of her elbow she managed to catch her head on the table; "Happy birthday!" She yelled, all be it from the floor with a hand up in the air waving in the general direction of the door. Maybe it was safer to just stay here all night, she might end up hitting someone on the head with a bowling ball. Walk with me, Suzy Lee Through the park, by the tree We will rest upon the ground And look at all the bugs we've found Pete said in unison with William, before he grabbed the seat of the table to stop himself falling over, brandishing his Sidekick around wildly. Anyone who didn't know Pete would have thought he'd been drinking, but he hadn't, of course. He looked over at Patrick, hoping that he would apprecaite it all. Pete knew Patrick was the type of person who would appreciate any kind of effort from someone, regardless of whether or not he actually liked it. Pete was kind of hoping that Patrick would like it though. Pete had rounded up a fair few people that he hadn't seen in a while, and Pete knew Greta from the Hush Sound was very happy to see Patrick again, the pair of them got along quite well. Pete had tried so hard to think of something that everyone would enjoy, and not just Patrick. It was meant to be a party, and everyone was required to have fun. Pete looked around - there was quite a large amount of people around, it was going to be fun to say the least. It would be nice for everyone else as well as Patrick, simply because everyone hadn't seen each other a while. It was nice to catch up with people. Pete looked around again and smiled at Patrick, waiting for some kind of reaction and hoping that it would be a happy one rather than a 'please don't make me endure' this one. Pete had thought long and hard about the possibilities for the party and for presents, and had eventually come to some conclusion in his mind about what he wanted. It hadn't been what he had originally intended but it was better than some of the suggestions put forward. Pete hadn't had time to have a whip 'round to see what everyone had gotten Patrick, he could only hope that William and the boys in The Academy Is... hadn't jokingly brought porno, which seemed to be quite a favorite with them, as shown by the fact Pete had a pair of handcuffs for every year that he had known those boys. AND SHOULD I OFFER UP MY HAND AND LAY THE GUILT ON MYSELF SO IT'S EASIER, TO NOT STAY, TO NOT STAY
Patrick sighed and squinted when the lights suddenly flickered on. It wasn't long after that, that William was directly in his face, yelling Happy Birthday. "OH MY FUCKING GOD", he screamed in a bit of shock, stumbling back a step before falling flat on his ass. From there he looked around, finally taking in the scenery. He grinned, laughing at himself for a moment before getting up off of the floor. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he shook his head, blushing as he made his way toward Pete and Brodie. He could feel his cheeks burning up, and right now, he felt like crawling into a hole. He didn't like big occasions, he really like parties in general. Patrick hated being the center of attention, he despised the spotlight. And knowing that, it was a bit strange on how Patrick ended up being in a band, none the less, the vocalist.
A nervous laugh and he stood there, glancing around, not really sure what to say. "Thanks guys." His voice was a bit shaky, still in a bit of shock from the definitely surprising method William had used. He glanced toward Pete, sending him a bit of a 'I'm going to get you for this later look'. He smiled and sat down at the table, laughing quietly as his heart pounded in his chest. Patrick closed his eyes for a moment as he tried to calm himself. He took a glance around, watching as it appeared that everyone else was already having a rather good time. He waved to Greta, and smiled, before looking up at Pete, then down at Brodie. Patrick hadn't gone bowling in... what felt like forever, and he was pretty sure that most of the people who were here- hadn't bowled in quite a while either.

We've got every girl in school In the deep end of the pool If you wanna take a dip, bring your trunks
she squealed loudly, almost childishly as she hugged him and then, just as she came she ran off again in search for...sugar. Yes she had because she had become somewhat of a sugar fiend in the last few days. If it wasn't full of enough sugar to send you in to a diabetic coma....well it wouldn't pass Brodie's lips to put it mildly. With a childish squee of joy she bounced about for a moment before stopping and just smiling. "Yey ~ Its Patrick's birthday!" Anyone else would think she was actually high, though that wasn't something she did anymore. Brodie was just being the Brodie that people had loved before all this happened. She was hyper, bubbly and of course very childish. She was off again, her phone in her hand as she began pressing any fucking button to see what it did, maybe she would come across the right one, after all if she pressed all of them she would have to find the right one at some point right? It was just a matter of the process of elimination right? Wrong. She managed to find herself something full of sugar, bottle of soda in one hand and this look of utter concentration on her face she stood there, looking at this phone and wondering how the hell to fix it. No phone was ever getting the better of Brodie Dhonchaindh. She pressed another button and squeaked slightly when it made a noise. She looked at the screen and flailed. "No!" She cried frantically pressing anything she could. "No I didn't tell you to do that!" IT was as if she was expecting the phone to talk back. "Do as I tell you, stop it...ah I broke it. Stop being a twat. Just fucking work will you. No I didn't tell you to turn Greek did I? Your an American phone not fucking Greek!" And there she stood mumbling to herself, or rather at the phone...and people wondered about her sanity? [/blockquote][/ul] When we start to dim the lights Gotta find a girl you like And you better hope she's already drunk

William snickered at Brodie's response. "It's either you hate the table and it hates you, or you love each other. It's a win or lose situation. You, Brodie, are losing," he said. He bit his lip to keep from laughing at Patrick's reaction - he didn't want to him getting any more embarassed - but he wasn't able to keep from smiling, his pressed together lips pulling into a odd smile. He laughed when Brodie came running towards him. "We all got him a present, Brodie," he said. He looked towards the door when he heard it open again, and the rest of The Academy Is... stumbled through it, looking like they rolled out of bed and didn't bother to look in a mirror. He grimaced slightly, but shrugged. Atleast anybody would recognize them right? He walked towards them and raised a brow, running an eye over them. "I can't be seen with you guys, you're an embarrassment now," he joked. They all laughed, and Sisky said, "I'm sorry we all can't look so nice and feminine like you." William grimaced playfully. "That was low," he said, laughing. "You've covered present stuff, right?" Michael asked. William nodded. He waved to Chris Faller, who was sitting at a table with Bob and someone William didn't recognize. He walked towards Brodie, who had ran off again - god the girl had a lot of energy - and started laughing, a loud, echoing sound. "Oh, my god," he gasped. "You turned that thing Greek? Nobody here is smart enough to decipher Greek!" William joked, causing people within earshot to start laughing with him. "Here, give it here. I'll fix it. You should really not buy anything more advanced then this, or I'd hate to see what you could do it. The only thing that might be within your abilities of using might be a paddle ball," he joked. Alright. maybe William had had some to drink before coming to the party.. but he was fine, really! Just a little... loopy.

If somebody's feelin sick Get them in the garden quick Cos we don't want them to spoil all the fun You know that everybody wants to party on a Saturday night
She said with a pout as she looked at the phone then him and handed it to him. "I don't know how it turned it's self Greek...Itjust did it." She told him before taking another swig of the brightly colored sugary fizzy liquid. God for bid if she couldn't have alcohol or drugs she was going to have her sugar! She pouted and let him poke fun at her, she just focused on downing the sugar filled drink. That was a better idea than getting angry. Thats one thing she had noticed - and probably everyone else too - that her temper was significantly less than when she had been high or drunk or even in that awkward in between stage. "I'm not that fucking stupid you twit." She said with a smirk. "Technology and me....yeah doesn't really fucking work." She said with a laugh at herself. Well that was another thing Brodie could do, take the piss out herself. She had a sense of humor when it came down to it and in the end it was really nothing compared to some of the stuff that had been in the papers recently. She giggled again and playfully commented; "Fuck off. I'm not that stupid!" Technology was a dangerous thing. Mind you Brodie could probably blow up a whole country with a computer and not know how she did it. Pete grinned, jumping up from the seat and grabbing the Sidekick. "Look, let me," Pete said, shaking his head as he attempted to put the Sidekick back into English. He too found it impossible - he'd never accidentally changed the language of his Sidekick, so he didn't really have any idea what he was doing. Pete gave up after a while, but didn't say anything as he accessed the internet on the phone. He grinned and messed around a bit more, handing it back to Brodie. "There's a simple answer to this... learn Greek," Pete joked, and he looked around as people walked over to wish Patrick happy birthday before setting up in the lanes. Pete looked at Patrick again and smiled, picking up a soda for himself. It was luminous green, the type of thing Pete lived on anyway. He opened it up and slid into the booth, sitting opposite Patrick and smiling. "Will I get severely punished for this?" Pete asked. "Because I'd love that," Pete said, trying to sound as masochist as humanely possible. He took a drink from the soda, which Pete was so bright it probably would glow in the dark if the lights were off. He swallowed the liquid, half expecting it to taste foul because it looked so attractive, but it was unusually tasty. Pete looked at the label on the bottle and made a mental note to get some more. He took a moment to consider how long it would be before Brodie realized Pete had downloaded porn onto her phone. Pete knew she'd be angry when she found it - if anyone else saw it they'd think she was some kind of scary lesbian. Pete smirked at the thought and swallowed some more of the fizzy drink. There was something about Pete and all kinds of brightly colored things - be it cupcakes or soda - that made him feel... happier. It was Pete's replacement for being drunk. If Pete was in a good mood, you rarely could tell it apart from anyone else acting as if they were drunk. Now, the things that made Pete this 'hyper' were often things that resulted in weird behaviour - whether that be stuffing saltines into his mouth, allowing himself to get shot in the ass with a paintball gun or any other weird and possibly mentally scarring act Pete had ever been involved in. It was good though, happy Pete was a hell lot better than any other variation of moods Pete experienced. His happiness usually came from being onstage, so being happy offstage was... well, something one had to really witness for themselves to understand it's true extent. It was something that, even if you only ever saw it the once, would stay etched in your memory forever. [/blockquote][/ul]

She mumbled wondering where the bright blue fluorescent liquid had gone, though that was obvious. She raised an eyebrow and watched Pete as he looked at her phone. "It was free." She stated simply. "They upgraded my contact and went 'here have this new phone that is imposable to work.'" She said rolling her eyes as she felt that rush of sugar associated with such brightly colored drinks. Would it be wrong to take this as a new vice. There was something about that grin that got her worried. Looking at her phone apprehensively in his hand before taking it back she looked at it...nothing seemed wrong. It wasn't flashing warning signs and wailing its little head off. Though she had that little inkling that something was going on. "Mhmm learn Greek? Me? Pete I can hardly speak fucking English." She said with a laugh as she pocketed her phone. Well there was no point getting up tight about it. It was broken big deal - she still had the receipt. "I'll just take it back to the store tomorrow and told them a kid got a hold of it." She said with a laugh as she went to get herself another soda. Ha. Everyone here was going to be wishing for their deaths when Brodie got hyper. She returned moments later this time with a bright red bottle. Well she was working her way though the flavors she wanted one of each by the end of the night. "Who's up for a game?" She asked the room. Well Brodie hadn't bowled in months, not since the last tour in L.A even then that was for a competition winner, and to tell the truth she had rather enjoyed it.
