Nothing was working out the way Deryck had expected, nothing at all and he absolutely loathed it. Since the band had come to this festival everything had gone downhill. Most of the band had decided to chuck Brodie out, one of the only people he really did care about- and he hadn’t been able to stop it. Deryck hadn’t really been working with most of the band, actually he was acting quite bitter about the whole situation that they had dug themselves into. On the other hand, Deryck could understand why they had done and decided to get rid of Brodie. Deryck just believed she needed help though, something that she really did want to stick to and drop her drugs.. Her alcohol. Everything. No matter what though, he knew that he couldn’t go on with Brodie the way she was. It sounded horrid of him, but it was too much stress to deal with; as well as the band itself. Deryck had been able to slip away, away from the festival for a while.. It wasn’t to bad as they weren’t playing for a while and Deryck just needed to get out and go somewhere to think. Deryck hated always being cooped up in a tourbus, regardless of how lazy he could seem it was about time he got out. Deryck slipped his lighter out of his pocket and then the cigarette, pressing it into his lips and then lighting it slowly. Inhaling and exhaling, pushing the lighter forcefully into his back pocket. As Deryck did this he walked slightly faster, coming across the boardwalk. Deryck could remember so many things that had happened here, the conversations they’d had. The way he constantly seemed able to burn himself, no matter what he did… the way he’d act so stupid with the bottle, not exactly drinking it but acting as drunk as he could. That was all over though, no matter how many times they’d come to repeat their actions one crucial thing was missing. Brodie. cursing at himself for letting her basically control his life, Deryck brushed a hand through his hair, messing it up, before looking across and seeing the girl in question herself. Rolling his eyes at the way he had acted about it all, Deryck regained himself, exhaling for the last time and finishing off the cigarette- throwing it out at the water, before walking up to Brodie, standing on the left side of her. Sheepishly smiling, Deryck tapped her shoulder. ”Brodz?” Deryck asked surprisingly loudly, letting his hand fall to his side as he awaited her to acknowledge him, or slap him. You could never tell with a girl like her.

put your hand between an aching head and an aching world we'll make them so jealous we'll make them hate us
[/i] Now he had given up on her. The one person who swore he wouldn't had. What hope did she have left? Pete hated her now, people thought she was nothing more than a junkie and Brodie was left just sitting there, disconnected and somewhat scared of the world. She really had no idea what to do. What could she do now? All of it had gone too far, too much burn for her to try and repair anything. She wanted to make up for it all, she wanted to make it all right again and start new but she knew there was no way in hell she could. Brodie would never have a band to go back to. That possibly was gone even if she did get clean and rebuild her life. There was no way the label would want her back anyway. PLus...after all that had happened would they be able to go back to the way they were? Then there was a tap on her shoulder, a voice - his voice. Brodie jumped slightly, sat there stunned at why he would be here right now and at the right moment when she needed him. Her voice caught in her chest, her breath hitched as she panicked. She just sat there staring out to sea as she felt a strange mix of emotions, Christ she wanted to yell and scream at him, she wanted to hit him and cry because he had broken his promise. Yet at the same time...she just wanted him. Though Brodie never talked about things like that. "Oh...." She said slightly dazed but this time completely sober which was shocking enough on its own. "Eh...how are you?"[/blockquote][/ul][/color] an aching head and an aching world we'll make them so jealous we'll make them so jealous
